Center Now Accepting Walk Ins From Over 50s

The Bermuda College vaccination centre is continuing to accept walk-ins, and officials have announced that they are now accepting persons aged 50 or older, however, they noted that “priority will be given to those aged 65 and older.”

A Government spokesperson said, “The Bermuda College vaccination centre is today still continuing to accept walk-ins for those persons aged 65 years and older who are unable to register for the vaccination on line.

“In addition, we are also today accepting walk-ins for those persons aged 50 or older. However, again, please note that priority will be given to those aged 65 and older. Walk-in appointments are from 3 pm to 6:45 pm today and tomorrow, 12 March 2020. Bermuda College will not accept walk-ins on Saturday.

“The last walk-in vaccination on the weekdays will be at 6:45 pm. Anyone at the vaccination centre after 6:45 pm will be given an appointment for the next available opening on the schedule.

“To make the process quicker, please Register Online at https://vaccine.resqwest.com/web/ prior to your arrival.

“However, if you are unable to register online and are 50 years of age or older, you will be able to walk-in and receive your vaccination at the Bermuda College Vaccination Centre. All you need to do is to bring a photo ID, such as a driver’s licence.

“We urge all persons 50 and over who have not yet been vaccinated to take advantage of this opportunity.

“Please note that the Bermuda Hospitals Board vaccination centre is not accepting walk-ins.”

The most recent vaccination statistics released by the Government spanned the timeframe until February 27, when at that point, Bermuda had administered a total of 20,705 vaccinations.
