Govt Reminder: Pop-Up Testing & Vaccinations

The Ministry of Health is reminding the public that there will be pop-up Covid-19 testing at Horseshoe Bay Beach car park on Monday [April 5] and Wednesday [April 7], testing is also available at Edgewood Pediatrics via appointments, while Bermuda College will offer walk-in vaccinations next week for people over 65.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Health is reminding the public that it has pop-up Covid-19 testing to the community. You do not need an appointment to get tested at this location.

“Horseshoe Bay Beach car park, Monday 5 April and Wednesday 7 April, from 4:30 – 7:30 pm. Only walk-in testing is available.

“Testing is also available at Edgewood Pediatrics. Anyone who wants to visit Edgewood for a Covid test can go to the Edgewood website and book a test. Their site is edgewoodpediatrics.com. This testing is by appointment only.

“We are grateful to Wee Care Pediatrics and Edgewood Pediatric Services for stepping up to assist with our Covid-19 testing, which both are doing with no copay to their private patients and the general public, respectively,” said Minister of Health, Kim Wilson. “Testing helps people know their status, which helps us to reduce the spread.”

“If you are experiencing symptoms, please contact your doctor. Your doctor will schedule you or direct you to the Covid-19 helpline at 444-2498 for symptomatic testing appointment slots.

“Bermuda College will offer walk-in vaccinations beginning next week. If you are over 65 years old, walk-ins will begin again on Monday, 5 April at Bermuda College only, from 8.00 am to 9.00 am. You do not need to register in advance – just show up! This is available on weekdays Monday to Friday.”
