There were 834 test results received yesterday and two were positive for Covid-19 — which “are classified as imported having arrived together on BA 2233 from London on October 27” — so Bermuda now has a total of 19 active cases.

A Government spokesperson said, “There were 834 test results received by the Ministry of Health yesterday [5 November 2020], and two were positive for COVID-19.

“These most recent cases are classified as imported having arrived together on BA 2233 from London on 27 October 2020. These cases are visitors who are asymptomatic, tested positive on their day 8 test, and had negative pre-arrival tests, arrival tests, and day 4 tests.

“There have now been ten cases from this flight and all additional passengers were placed under quarantine from 4 November 2020 through 10 November 2020.

“Bermuda now has 209 total confirmed positive cases. Their status is as follows:

  • all under public health monitoring, and
  • none are hospitalized or in critical care;
  • a total of 181 have recovered, and
  • the total deceased remains 9.

“The average age of all of our confirmed positive cases is 55 years and the age range of all of our positive cases is from 7 to 101 years.

“The average age of all deceased cases is 74 years and the age range is 57 to 91 years.

“The source of all cases is as follows:

  • 98 are Imported

“Bermuda’s country status is ‘Sporadic Cases’. The seven-day average of our real time reproduction number is less than 1.”
