The local and international business communities strongly are encouraging the community to “actively take all recommended measures to protect themselves and others from the Covid-19 virus,” the Association of Bermuda International Companies [ABIC] said.
A spokesperson said, “The local and international business communities strongly encourage everyone in Bermuda to actively take all recommended measures to protect themselves and others from the Covid-19 virus. We support the World Health Organization’s statement: ‘There are several safe and effective vaccines that prevent people from getting seriously ill or dying from Covid-19. It is important to be vaccinated as soon as possible.’
“Everyone benefits in supporting Bermuda and our economy. In this challenging and uncertain time, our priority is the safety of the people of Bermuda and our visitors. Although we are all in unchartered waters, there are answers to creating a safer Bermuda. If you are able to be vaccinated but have yet to be, because you have questions or concerns about the safety or effectiveness of the vaccines, we encourage you to speak to your healthcare professional.
“This statement is supported by the Association of Bermuda International Companies, the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers, the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, the Bermuda International Long-Term Insurers and Reinsurers, the Bermuda Insurance Managers Association, the Bermuda Employers Council, and the Bermuda Hotel Association.”
