Chubb Foundation Donates $50,000 To Clinic

The Chubb Charitable Foundation Bermuda has donated $50,000 to support the Bermuda Hospitals Board Covid-19 vaccination clinic.

A spokesperson said, “The Foundation’s donation to the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Foundation — the BHB’s fundraising arm – will help reach its goal of raising more than $200,000 to help cover costs associated with the hospital’s Covid-19 vaccination clinic. According to recent reports, while the vaccines are being administered to individuals at no cost, the hospital has incurred additional expenses associated with the facilities, operations and staff.”

“We are pleased to support such a worthy and much needed initiative, during a very challenging moment in this pandemic,” said Lori Dunstan, Executive Director of the Chubb Charitable Foundation.

“We have enormous gratitude for the work being undertaken by the hospital to support the Government’s vaccination program, and we applaud BHB’s medical heroes’ tireless efforts to protect Bermudians through its Covid-19 vaccination clinic.”

“The Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Foundation is extremely grateful to the Chubb Charitable Foundation for their kind and generous donation,” said Lisa Sheppard, Executive Director at the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Foundation.

“Our relationship with such benevolent corporate partners like Chubb ensures we can continue to support the BHB and its vital services at critical times. Chubb Charitable Foundation is an outstanding corporate citizen and we sincerely appreciate their generosity.”

Following an appeal by the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Foundation for donations to “help cover the balance of funds totalling $222,000 needed by BHB’s Vaccination Clinic,” there has now been at least $175,000 donated, with Chubb’s support joining donations from the Green Family and BF&M.
