Seven Videos: Vaccinations Start In Bermuda

The first Covid-19 vaccinations in Bermuda started yesterday [Jan 11], with seniors, hospital staff and Premier David Burt, Opposition Leader Cole Simons, Minister of Health Kim Wilson, and Dr. Carika Weldon among the first people to get the vaccine.

This follows after the first shipment of 9,750 doses arrived on the Island on Friday, with priority given to healthcare workers, essential workers, and seniors in rest homes, and long-term care facilities.

The Government has opened a Vaccination Centre at the Police Club in Prospect, and the Bermuda Hospitals Board [BHB] also started offering vaccinations at the hospital, and said that “by the end of the clinic’s first day well over 100 hospital workers will have been vaccinated.”

Bernews provided live coverage of some of the first vaccinations and you can watch all the videos from yesterday below, and see all our coverage of the Covid-19 vaccine here.
