The Reefs ‘Tentatively Closed’ Until May 5th

“For the time being, we are tentatively closed until May 5th, and we will continue to modify this, as the current travel climate continues to evolve,” The Reefs said.

An email sent out by the resort said, “A few weeks ago, we made the difficult decision to temporarily close our doors here at The Reefs. While this choice was made in support of the Bermuda Government’s decision to restrict all travel to the island to help contain the spread of COVID-19, it was also the right choice to help protect our most precious assets – all of our amazing staff and our wonderful guests.

“As this virus has continued to have wide-reaching impacts on the world, it can be difficult to see the sunshine through the forest. Or to use a more Bermudian-relative analogy, it can be difficult to see the fish through the coral reefs! But this time allows us to all interact [whether in person or virtually!] with the people that are important to us, and to support the people who need help during this difficult time.

“For the time being, we are tentatively closed until May 5th, and we will continue to modify this, as the current travel climate continues to evolve. But we are here and ready to welcome you back when you and the world are ready to travel again. If you are repeat guests of ours, we look forward to welcoming you “back home”, rekindling those memories you have of your past stays. If you have never visited us before, then we look forward to creating those first Bermuda memories!

“While we are operating with a reduced team at the resort at the moment, we are still here to answer any future reservation questions you may have, whenever you are ready to begin planning again. For those of you who have already rebooked your spring trips for later in the year, we sincerely appreciate your loyalty. Otherwise, feel free to check out our website and social media channels for updates on what we are up to, and what vacation packages are currently available at www.thereefs.com.

“Our property has been a family-run business for the last 45 years, and it wouldn’t work without our family – all of you as our loyal guests, both overseas and here in Bermuda. But it also wouldn’t work without the amazing team of staff here to provide you with the memorable experiences we are known for. They can’t wait to welcome you back with open arms and it is these positive thoughts that keep all of us going during these difficult times.

“From our Reefs family to yours, please stay safe, we will all get through this together, and we will soon be able to revel in the joy that travel experiences create in all of us.”
