The Ministry of Health received 1604 test results and two were positive for Covid-19 — which are classified as under investigation — so the island currently has 22 active cases.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Health received 1604 test results since the last update, and two [2] were positive for Covid-19. These two new cases are classified as under investigation. They are among residents with no currently identified link to other known cases or history of travel in the past 14 days.
“Additionally, since the last update, there were two recoveries.
“There are currently 22 active cases, of which;
- All 22 are under public health monitoring and;
- None are in the hospital.

“The seven-day average of our real-time reproduction number is below one [1], and Bermuda’s current country status remains “Sporadic Cases”.
“The Ministry of Health reminds travellers to Bermuda that they must follow the requirements set out in the Quarantine [COVID-19] [No.3] Order 2020.
“Both visitors and residents must apply for a Bermuda COVID-19 Travel Authorisation 1 to 3 days before departure and cannot travel to Bermuda without an approved Travel Authorisation. Submission of a Travel Authorisation within 24 hours of your travel date will not be approved.
“To obtain approval for a Travel Authorisation, visitors must provide proof of a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than five days* before arrival. [*For example, a pre-arrival COVID-19 PCR test taken on 4th December, will be valid for arrival in Bermuda until 9th December.
“The test type must be a PCR test. [Note: The COVID-19 PCR test cannot be an antigen or antibody test. It must be a PCR test.]
“I must also emphasise that all immunized residents without a pre-departure test must still pay $300 upon arrival to Bermuda. As well, they must quarantine until their day four [4] negative COVID test result,” said Minister of Health, Kim Wilson, JP, MP.
“Travellers to Bermuda who are arriving from the United Kingdom or who have visited the United Kingdom in the 14 days before they arrive in Bermuda must quarantine in their accommodation for four days. They may only be released from quarantine after receiving a negative result from the Day 4 COVID-19 test. In this case, the quarantine relates to the property at which the traveller is staying, not a single room.”
