Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the office of the Human Rights Commission will be temporarily closed to the public, and will reopen on April 6.
An HRC spokesperson said, “In light of safety protocols required for the public and our Officers, the Office of the Human Rights Commission [Commission], located at 32 Victoria Street, Hamilton, is temporarily closed to the public and will reopen on Monday April 6, 2020.
“The staff remain available to the public and are now operating remotely. Anyone requiring assistance is invited to contact the Commission as follows:

“The Commission stands in solidarity with the Government of Bermuda, the Emergencies Measures Organisation [EMO] and the rest of the island in upholding strict guidelines aimed at containing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Now is the time to be vigilant and cautious, and above all, considerate, especially toward those who may not have ready access to social, environmental, emotional or economic support. Bermuda needs the best of us right now. Please take care of yourselves and each other.”
