Boat & Mooring License Renewal Advisory

The registration for boat & mooring licenses will start on April 1, and will be extended until June 30, with the Department of Marine & Ports encouraging the public to practice social distancing by making their payments online to avoid the spread of Covid-19.

A government spokesperson said, “The Department of Marine and Ports, Boats and Moorings section is advising the public that registration for boat and mooring licenses, including commercial boats, starts Wednesday, 1 April 2020 and is extended to June 30.

“In light of COVID-19 and minimizing the spread of the virus in Bermuda, Boat and Moorings offices are closed to walk in customers and the public is encouraged to practice social distancing by making their payments online at www.marineandports.bm or via mail.

“The deadline for online license renewal is extended to midnight on Tuesday, June 30. Licenses not renewed by this date will incur a late fee.

“If paying by mail, please allow sufficient time for delivery and address to:

Department of Marine and Ports
Boats and Moorings
P.O. Box HM 180
Hamilton, HM AX
Bermuda

“Payments for outstanding fees due in the present registration year are also accepted.

“All decals will be mailed and moorings and boats should have 2021 decals in place by 1 July or as soon as possible, following receipt.

“You can also visit www.marineandports.bm to access Boat and mooring license fees, and view your account information.

“Owners are advised to ensure all information on file with the department is current. To update your information, please call 294-0419 or email boatsandmoorings@gov.bm.

“Please note that ownership transfer of boats and moorings must be done in person with a valid form of identification.”
