HRC To Provide On-Site Services Starting June 1

The Human Rights Commission [HRC] is getting set to provide on-site services beginning on Monday [June 1].

The announcement said, “The Human Rights Commission is providing walk-in services with updated on-site operating hours and mandatory health and safety protocols.

“This service is reserved for people with inquiries or complaints who are not able to access the Commission by email or phone.

Location:

  • Milner Place, 32 Victoria St., Hamilton [across from Sears]

Walk-In Hours:

  • Mondays and Fridays — 8.45am to 1.00pm
  • Wednesdays — 12.00pm to 5.00pm

Health and Safety Protocols Required Upon Entry:

  • Wear a mask which covers the nose and mouth. Anyone without a face mask will be provided with one.
  • Hand sanitizing
  • Temperature screenings
  • Physical social distancing

“While it is our preference that only one [1] person attends the office to submit a complaint or inquiry, we acknowledge that circumstances may arise where it is not practical for an individual to attend on their own.

“Officers continue to work remotely and are accessible to the public to provide balanced guidance to all stakeholders on human rights considerations and compliance during this challenging time.

“For more information or to schedule an appointment, please contact the office at 295-5859, humanrights@gov.bm or visit our website.”
