A few people are gathering at the Cabinet Office grounds on Front Street in Hamilton this morning [Jan 31] for a “love circle,” with Enda Matthie saying they “would like to approach our protest from a different angle” and “do things that bring about healing.”
Enda Matthie told Bernews, “This is a love circle. A group of us have decided that we would like to approach our protest from a different angle, we would like to do things that bring about healing. We would like to do things that bring about camaraderie.
“We are just about tired of the divisiveness, we’re just about tired of the fighting that’s going on, and we would like to do our part to do something that brings about healing and takes us to another level.
“Many of us are not happy with what’s going on, many of us don’t understand why, at this stage, when other jurisdictions are releasing or easing up on their mandates, that we still are going full at it. We don’t understand why emergency powers are still in place, and so, we are doing things to shift the energy and the atmosphere.”
When we visited this morning, there were five people there, including Sophia Cannonier and Ms Matthie, and you can view a few photos below.
