The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] announced that it has “decided to conclude the 2021 T20 First Division Domestic League season” due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A spokesperson said, “The Executive of the Bermuda Cricket Board has decided to conclude the 2021 T20 First Division Domestic League season, due to the continued onset of the global Covid-19 pandemic. The decision has been made after consultation with ICC Americas, the domestic impact of the virus on our healthcare system and to conclude the league in the best manner possible.
“The above stated decision includes awarding the teams ranked 1 – 3 [Western Stars Sports Club, Warwick Workman’s Club and Cleveland County Cricket Club] automatic promotion into the T20 Premier Division, scheduled to commence in 2022.
“We wish to thank all our stakeholders for their support during another challenging season. We also wish to congratulate the successful clubs on being promoted and wish them much success in the new year.”
