CG Insurance Donates $25,000 To Vaccine Clinic

CG Insurance is donating $25,000 following an appeal by the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Foundation [BHCF] to help cover a budget shortfall due to costs associated with administering the Covid-19 vaccination.

A spokesperson said, “CG Insurance is very pleased and proud to provide financial support for the operation of the hospital’s Covid vaccination clinic. The company is donating $25,000 following an appeal by the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Foundation [BHCF] to help cover a budget shortfall due to costs associated with controlling the spread of the Covid-19 virus.”

“CG Insurance is more than willing to support this critical operation,’ Naz Farrow, CG’s Chief Executive Officer, said.

“In order to prevent further spread of the virus, we recognize it’s a race to get as many residents vaccinated as possible. Reaching herd immunity is vital for our community and economy to be fully-functioning again.

“The Covid-19 virus has affected everything that’s important to the people of Bermuda – our personal health, our economy and our social and community life. Getting our lives back on track is a national priority and goal we fully support. We believe this donation is but one step that will help us achieve an end result that will lead to living safer and more productive lives for all of our residents.”

The company noted, “CG’s donation follows the BHCF appeal, which noted that the Covid-19 pandemic had imposed a monumental financial strain on the Bermuda Hospitals Board and the Government. The clinic, located in KEMH’s former Emergency Department, has since expanded its Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm operating hours to Saturdays and Sundays to increase its vaccination capacity.”
