“The booster vaccine is now available to anyone 12 or older who has had their second Covid vaccination dose a minimum of 6 months ago,” the Ministry advised this evening.
In releasing today’s test results, a Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Health advises that children 12 and above can receive a booster if it has been 6 months from their last dose.”
Minister of Health Kim Wilson said, “We are pleased to announce today that the booster vaccine is now available to anyone 12 or older who has had their second Covid vaccination dose a minimum of 6 months ago. I strongly urge everyone eligible to please get your booster as soon as possible.
“Anyone wishing a booster vaccine can book an appointment on www.gov.bm by selecting “Book a Booster Vaccine Appointment.” They may also call the Vaccination Hotline at 444-2498 [option #2] or e-mail vaccine@gov.bm. Those aged 65 and older can walk into Pier 6 on Front Street for a booster, Monday to Friday.”
As far as vaccinations for younger children, there might be an announcement on that this week, as when asked last week about vaccinations for 5 – 11 year olds, the Premier said there could be an announcement ‘next week.’
