In an effort to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, Public Officers “will be inspecting any business which has been allowed to remain open for strict social distancing” and any business “not following the guidelines will be issued an immediate closure notice.”
Some establishments — such as spas, gyms, cinemas, bars, clubs, restaurant dine-in services and more — have already been ordered to close pursuant to the Public Health Act from March 23 until 5.00pm on March 30th, however some businesses can open, for example, while retail stores, in general, have to close, the official notice said “except supermarkets, grocery stores, pharmacies, health supplies, utilities, and IT support.”
Some of the companies which remain open — such as banks and grocery stores — have already announced reduced hours, strict social distancing measures and are limiting the amount of people in their establishments at one time.
A Government spokesperson said, “Public Officers will be inspecting any business which has been allowed to remain open for strict social distancing. Any business that is not following the guidelines will be issued an immediate closure notice.”
