The Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA] is “compiling a guide to showcase partners who are launching safe and innovative virtual services” and is inviting businesses to submit their information.
A spokesperson said, “Is COVID-19 changing your approach to business? Share how you’re inspiring and assisting our community at home and afar while practising social distancing
“As we navigate these unprecedented times, the Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA] is compiling a guide to showcase partners who are launching safe and innovative virtual services.
“Examples might include offerings like much-needed restaurant curbside pick-up/deliveries, online yoga classes, or online retail channels—for both overseas consumers and our island community.
“We hope our guide will be a useful resource for Bermuda residents and also offer a little bit of Bermuda to homebound travellers who can’t wait to return when our borders reopen.
“Until that’s possible, let’s responsibly showcase our genuine hospitality and creativity to everyone in a virtual way—while supporting local businesses. The BTA will promote the guide through our numerous channels.
“We’re all in this together, and we want the world to know we can send our island out to people at a time when they can’t come to us.
“Please join us in this effort: if you’re a business—or know one—that is thinking creatively in this changed economic landscape, let us know. Fill in our brief online survey by Monday, March 23, and send it back to us. Thank you!
