The Ministry of Health “currently has a large number of Covid-19 vaccine doses available that must be used today” and people aged 65 and over who “have not already been provided with an appointment are invited” to go to the Bermuda College or the hospital vaccination centres before 6pm today [March 3].
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Health currently has a large number of Covid-19 vaccine doses available that must be used today.
“Persons 65 and over who have not already been provided with an appointment are invited to go to the Bermuda College or the Bermuda Hospitals Board [BHB] vaccination centres before 6 pm today.
“If you already have an appointment to be vaccinated, please do not attend. These doses are available for people without an already scheduled appointment. If you intend to take advantage of this opportunity, please ensure that you have registered before you attend on vaccine.resqwest.com.
“Please note that this is on a first-come, first-served basis, and there may be a line at the vaccination centres, and subsequently, those attending may have to wait in line to be vaccinated. Once the available doses have been used, those remaining in line will have to wait until their scheduled appointments.
“We are encouraging those 65 years and over to take advantage of this opportunity. You are not eligible if you are currently in quarantine or have recently travelled and not yet had your 14 day negative COVID test.”
