While she has not tested positive, Governor Rena Lalgie was “identified as being a close contact of a positive Covid-19 case, ” and Government House is working with the Corporation of St. George to reschedule the Peppercorn Ceremony, which was due to take place this Wednesday.
A Government spokesperson said, “On Saturday night the Governor was identified as being a close contact of a positive Covid-19 case. At this time, she has not tested positive, however in line with Government guidance she will be separating from others for seven [7] days.
“The Governor will continue to work remotely but will not be attending any in-person events or meetings until the results of her day seven [7] test.
“Government House is working with the Corporation of St. George to reschedule the Peppercorn Ceremony, which was due to take place on Wednesday, 20 April 2022.”
