“I will continue to do all I can to help ensure the safety and security of Bermuda working in close conjunction with the local authorities,” Governor John Rankin said.
The Governor said, “As Governor I would confirm my support for the measures announced to date by the Government to deal with COVID-19.
“I encourage everyone to act in line with those measures and to continue to follow Bermuda Government advice on social distancing, good hygiene and self-quarantining when required.
“Public Health England continues to be in close touch with the Chief Medical Officer and Bermuda Department of Health colleagues in providing advice on tackling COVID-19. I join in thanking all health staff and others on the island for their work at this time. As Governor I will continue to do all I can to help ensure the safety and security of Bermuda working in close conjunction with the local authorities.”
