Hand Made Location Closes, Website Launches

Due to the impact of the coronavirus, the Hand Made Bermuda physical store — which was located at the Clocktower Mall in Dockyard is closing —  however they now have a website, and are offering a free delivery service within Bermuda for any purchase.

An email sent out by the company said, “We hope you are all keeping safe and well during this difficult time.We are sorry to inform you that due to the negative effect of the pandemic, we have been forced to give up our premises. The mall is quiet in winter and we have to balance our winter losses with our summer sales.

“A consignment store like ours runs on a shoestring at the best of times and we cannot continue to pay the overheads on our physical store when we are unable to sell anything. Looking ahead we cannot see there being a cruise ship season this year and so we have been forced to make this difficult decision.

“However, we are happy to announce that we now have a website. Please be patient. The website is up and running but we have a multitude of beautiful items to add and it is going to take a while. If you don’t see what you want, please email us to ask. Many of our artists have their goods available.

“Due to the current pandemic we are pleased to offer a free delivery service within Bermuda for any purchase. Apologies but we are unable at present to send items overseas, due to temporary Post Office restrictions. However we will be happy to oblige as soon as we are permitted.

“Please remember us when you want to buy a beautiful hand made Bermuda gift. When you choose our company you choose to support Bermuda families.

“We will keep you informed as we progress and work towards having premises again in the not too distant future. Many thanks for your support, both in the past and in the future.”
