After the relevant legislation passed in Parliament, the Public Health [Covid-19] Emergency Order 2021 has been extended again, this time until August 23, 2021.
The official document states, “Whereas the Public Health [Covid-19] Emergency Order 2021 declared a public health emergency with effect from 6am on 25 January 2021; And Whereas that Order has been extended and, unless further extended, will cease to have effect at 6am on 23 August 2021;
“And Whereas the Minister responsible for health, after consultation with the Chief Medical Officer, has determined that it is necessary to further extend that Order; Now Therefore the Minister responsible for health, in exercise of the power conferred by section 107A of the Public Health Act 1949, makes the following Order:”
