“We are unable to provide full details of today’s test results, as they are still being processed,” the Ministry said last night, adding that they will release the statistics today [July 18].
In a statement last night, the Ministry said, “Due to the aggressive testing regime established by the Government, all designed to quickly identify and isolate COVID-19 cases to protect our island home, we are unable to provide full details of today’s test results, as they are still being processed.
“However, we must emphasize the importance of following public health guidelines, particularly recently arrived travellers who are under self-quarantine, to remain in your accommodation until you receive a negative test result.
“We are aware that some people have not yet received their results. This has been due to a technical problem with an external mail server, however we are working through that issue and persons are receiving their results now.
“We remind the public that yesterday our active cases stand at 6. These are all in isolation and their contacts are being traced. Nevertheless, we cannot be too careful and we ask the whole community to take preventive measures, wear your masks in public places, wash your hands and maintain physical distance from others.
“We will release today’s statistics tomorrow afternoon.”
Update 8.20pm: It’s not really an update per se, just a note to say we are awaiting the results.
