Pension benefits automatically paid by direct bank deposit will still be made next week as normal and pension cheques will be processed and delivered by mail tomorrow before the island wide lockdown takes place on Saturday morning.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Social Insurance wishes to advise the public of the following:
- “Pension benefits automatically paid by direct bank deposit will still be made next week Wednesday, April 15th, 2020 as normal.
- “Pension cheques will be processed and delivered by mail tomorrow Friday, April 3, 2020 before the island wide lockdown takes place on Saturday morning.
- “For those wishing to cash their cheques at the bank, please note the following guidance from the banks in using their services tomorrow:
- “Branch hours are 9am to 1pm.
- “Please deposit your cheques in the ATM machines as the first option before going into a branch.
- “If you have to enter a branch, please observe social distancing guidance and have all of your documents ready.”
