[Updated] Noting they are “aware of videos being circulated on social media, indicating non-compliance with Covid-19 regulations at a house party in Smith’s Parish,” the police confirmed they “are now investigating.”
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] is aware of videos being circulated on social media, indicating non-compliance with Covid-19 regulations at a house party in Smith’s Parish.
“The BPS is now investigating to establish individuals involved. Anyone with information is asked to call 211 or, the main police number, 295-0011.
“We wish to once again remind the public, current Covid-19 regulations stipulate, gatherings are restricted to no more than twenty-five people, masks must be worn during such gatherings and social distancing must be observed.”
Update 6.57pm: Speaking at this evening’s press conference, Premier David Burt said, “I have been informed by the Minister of National Security is, and I will read the message from the Minister of National Security, is that the Bermuda Police Service are actively investigating a house party in Smith’s parish and a file is expected to be submitted to the DPP in due course.”
