Premier David Burt, Minister of Health, Kim Wilson and the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport Dr. Ernest Peets will host a virtual town hall meeting tomorrow [Feb 8] to “further discuss changes to the Public Health Emergency regulations.”
A Government spokesperson said, “As a follow up from Friday’s House of Assembly announcements, Premier David Burt will host a virtual town hall meeting tomorrow to further discuss the changes to the Public Health Emergency regulations.
“The Premier will be joined by the Minister of Health, Kim Wilson and the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport, Dr. Ernest Peets.
“Other topics being covered include revisions to the SafeKey policy, changes to Bermuda’s border protocols, changes to Large Group Exemptions and Return to Play protocols and the importance of supporting the island’s tourism industry.”
Premier Burt said, “Tomorrow’s town hall is way of sharing how we as a Government continue to put things in place to move us beyond the pandemic.
“Bermuda should feel proud of what we’ve accomplished together as a country in dealing with the coronavirus. As a Government, we’re looking forward to the future with hope and optimism. The reality is that we’re at a stage where we must learn to live with Covid and it is important that we engage with the public by listening to and answering their questions, hearing their feedback and sharing our plans during this virtual forum.”
The spokesperson said, “Tuesday’s virtual town hall will be carried via the Government’s Facebook page starting at 6.30 p.m. and will be simulcast on CITV’s YouTube and television channels [Wow ch. 102 / OneComm ch. 2].
“Members of the public are encouraged to submit their questions to askus@gov.bm. Questions will also be fielded live from the online platform.”
