[Updated with videos] Dr. Myra Virgil, Allison Towlson, Dr. Carika Weldon, and nurses Kathy-Ann Swan, Renee Faulcon, and Karen Grant-Simmons will be joining hosts Eron Hill and Ryan Robinson Perinchief today [May 19] for Bernews’ eighth episode in a special News & Views series about the Covid-19 pandemic.
The episode will be divided into three segments and will start at just past 2.00pm today, and will be streaming live across Bernews Facebook page, YouTube channel, Periscope account and Twitter account; and we will also update this article with the live video when the show gets underway.
First Segment
The first segment will take a look at the charitable response to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the Bermuda Community Foundation’s Dr. Myra Virgil and Bank of Bermuda Foundation’s Allison Towlson.
Second Segment
The second segment will feature three nurses — Kathy-Ann Swan RN, Director of Nursing Education; Renee Faulcon RN; and Karen Grant-Simmons RN — discussing aspects of nursing education.
Third Segment
The third segment will feature Dr. Carika Weldon, the Science Advisor to the Bermuda Government, who will be discussing Bermuda’s Covid-19 testing.
